The Month of March... Thus Far

I just realized the other day that I haven't posted on here for a while. Don't worry, we're still alive! I thought I'd share a bit about what we've been up to the past few weeks as well as some exciting ministry news.

Our days have stayed fairly busy recently. Clint has been logging some on the property where we are living. It's been a huge blessing for him to be able to work a bit to cover our living expenses as well as be able to set some money aside for our future home in Papua New Guinea.

We've been spending quite a bit of time with Clint's family and friends. We are going to deeply miss these relationships when we move, and we're so grateful for the time that we have now. We have also been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of Clint's home church, and we've enjoyed helping lead worship on Sunday mornings.

On March 1, we shared about our ministry with a local church, and it was so encouraging to interact with fellow believers outside of our regular church family who are so excited about sharing the Gospel with the lost!

And on March 1 as well, we celebrated our first anniversary! Hard to believe it's been a year already since our wedding!

Speaking of hard-to-believe, it still feels almost surreal that, Lord willing, we will be boarding a plane heading to Papua New Guinea in just over 4 months! It's coming up fast, but there's still a lot happening between now and then.

And now for some cool ministry news, we just heard yesterday that our Work Permits have been approved by the Papua New Guinea government! These give us the ability to work in the country as missionaries. So exciting!

Departure Date!

I love having concrete dates for things. When I was younger, I remember my dad would always give me a new calendar for Christmas, and I would immediately start looking up the dates for holidays like Easter and Thanksgiving (the Fourth of July was a pretty easy one usually). For some reason, I always liked knowing what those dates were, even if it was months away from the holiday.

So you can imagine my excitement when we heard from the Papua New Guinea mission leadership this past week about arrival dates. I thought I'd share it with you so you can be excited with us! :) They said that we can arrive any time July 27-31, but July 29 was the best day to get there. So we will most likely be leaving from the States somewhere around July 25-27 (with all the travel and the time change, flights arrive 2 days after you leave). It's so exciting to have more of a concrete date for our departure! We can't wait to get back to PNG!

If you'd like, you can join us in praying that all our paperwork comes through on time and that God would continue to raise up our supporting team. We have to have at least 75% of our recommended funds before we can purchase our plane tickets. So glad for a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills!
