About Us

Thanks for stopping by our blog! We are Clint and Ashlyn Teele, and we, along with our four kids, are missionaries serving with Ethnos360 (formerly New Tribes Mission) in Papua New Guinea.

Just a bit of our story... We both grew up in Christian families and were saved at a young age. Ever since we were teenagers, both of us have had a desire to be missionaries, and we both felt God leading us to serve in a location where the people have had little or no access to God's Word in their own language. Separately, we decided to serve with Ethnos360, and we met in 2012 at their training program in Missouri. We graduated in 2013, got married in 2014, and moved overseas in July 2015.

We live in Papua New Guinea, which is a group of islands located directly above Australia. It's a fascinating country, about the size of California with a population of roughly 8 million. There are over 800 distinct languages in Papua New Guinea, most of which have never been written down. Despite claims that over 90% of the population are Christians, hundreds of those language groups still have never heard the Gospel in their language, and many others have a very skewed view of Christianity because they have combined it with their ancestral belief systems.

We live among the Uriay, a people group located in the north western part of PNG. These people have had missionaries before, but all of them except for one single lady have had to leave for various reasons, leaving behind a tiny, struggling church. We have partnered with this single lady and one other family to finish the work that was started years ago and bring the rest of "God's Talk" to the Uriay. Our goal is to work ourselves out of a job by planting a mature, thriving church that can function on its own and can begin reaching neighboring villages and people groups. We moved in to the village of Wabuku in February 2017, and we are currently learning the Uriay culture and language.
